The purpose of the study, known as “Electronic Conspicuity Technology for Aircraft Operating in the National Airspace System,” is to “gather insight into the opinions and concerns of aircraft owners and pilots regarding the potential requirement of electronic conspicuity technology,” according to the researchers.
